The first Arbogast came to Virginia from Pennsylvania.
Descendants of the family have spread to other areas such av West Virginia, Ohio, illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Kansas, California and elsewhere in America. Arbogast have been making their contribution to Virginia/West Virginia and its history form more than 200 years. The first Arbogast know to have settled in Highland County was Michael Arbogast.  Michael Arbogast  immigrated to America in 1749 and died in Pendleton County Virginia in 1812.
